for i spent years languishing in a gilded cage. only to realise that outside the confines of these tall teak-wood windows, is nothing but a world of prejudiced happenstance.

and that i am eternally captive.

chapter v exteriorises the desire to meet liberty’s mirth—18th-century tapestries [found in/sourced from england] and artisanal metal structures [characterising a cage distressed by constant rebellion] coalesce into a series of avant-garde body adornments.
