the practice unfolds through non-linear chapters, each beginning with a condition rather than a season or medium. materials + processes are determined in response; moving between biofabrication, reclaimed matter, metal, glass + other forms of material experimentation.
developed across studios in new delhi + kolkata, the work extends from objects worn on the body to spatial interventions, installations + limited-edition works.
an evolving material library, built through in-house research + specialist collaborations, forms an active part of the practice.
the work develops through an ongoing sequence of non-linear chapters; each translating a psychological, lived or observed condition into objects, materials + spatial interventions.
conceived independently of seasons, the chapters do not follow a fixed medium or format. each establishes its own material language, processes + scale.
together, they form an evolving record of the practice.
the studio maintains in-house material lab for the development, testing + adaptation of materials specific to each chapter.
research moves between biofabrication, growing, casting + the transformation of reclaimed matter; alongside collaborations with specialist makers, laboratories + workshops across geographies.
built over time, the studio’s material library holds samples, trials + unresolved experiments alongside materials that have entered finished works. it remains an active resource of ongoing research.
the studio extends beyond the objects it produces; its environments participate in how work is made + encountered.
material research moves beyond the object and into the spaces themselves, through biofabricated, grown + adapted elements that become part of the working environment.
in new delhi, a 1970s structure within a private forest introduces changing light, temperature, environmental exposure + time into the making and presentation of work. the kolkata studio brings together material development, research + production within a second working environment.
the work is presented through installations, exhibitions, runway + other site-specific formats, each allowing the objects to be encountered within a different context.
presentations take place both within the studio’s own environments + across external locations, extending each chapter beyond the individual object.
